The Catholic Education Conference has adopted a scries of resolutions similar to those adopted by the Catholic University of the .United States, defining the position of the Church in reference to education. These resolutions set out that intellectual education must not be separated from moral and religious instruction. Religion should the centre‘round .which other instructional subjects are grouped, and the spirit by which they are permeated, far from lessening the need of moral and religious training, would rather advance educational methods. . That need provided the essentials which Christian education secured. The Church welcomed whatever science may contribute rendering the work of the' schools more efficient. Catholic parents were bound in. conscience to' provide education for their children, either .at home or in schools of the right sort. >.l
