THREATENED STRIKE IN WALES. Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, January 18. The Council of the North Wales Miners’ Association lias resolved to post' a notice on the 21st to the effect that a strike will be called a fortnight later, stating their intention to force non-unionists to join the association.
TROUBLE AHEAD IN THE STATES. NEW YORK, January 18. Next month a general strike is threatened in the iron and coal fields in Pennsylvania, also in the Colorado mine-workers.
SYDNEY. January 18. The builders’ labourers are awaiting the action of the Federal Arbitration Court, and are making every effort to solidify the organisations with a view to a probable strike.
