The appeal of Victor Mac-Dull against a sentence of one month's -imprisonment on a charge of welshing at the last Wellington races was before Mr Justice Chapman to-day. Counsel for appellant submitted that, before the Court could endorse the conviction,; it had to be shown that, at the time he.received the money, M.eDulf had a fraudulent intention.
