January 18, Victoria a oversea trade last year totalled, ,£37,858,377, an increase of nearly 10 per cent, on the previous year. Butter showed the largest expansion, the increase amounting to 6260 tons. ■ The exports of wheat increased 1,471,650 bushels.. For the half year ended December 31 the meat exports increased 80 and butter nearly , 50 per cent, compared with tho first half-year. " The report of the Bank of Victoria shows profits £154,097. It is proposed to pay a dividend of 6 per cent., to add to the reserve £IO,OOO, carry forward £12,349.
