Aramoho and the Borough.
TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —In your last night’s issue appears a letter from Mr Taylor Davis, in which ho complains that I have not answered certain anonymous letters. As I have alreadv staled, x*VJo not propose to do so. I.would point out that on' Saturday next there will be a public meeting at Aramoho to discuss the proposed Aramoho loan, at which I will give every speaker the fullest onportunitv of discussing the Borough nuances. I shall be pleased to meet and reolv to any of my critics, either there or at Friday night’s meeting on the tramways loan.—l am, etc.. C. E. MACKAY. P.S.—Mr Taylor Davis .says that when the loan is carried his rates will he “3s 3d, besides insurance and painting.” I thinx I can reassure him on that point. His rates won’t he anything like that. Moreover, when the Okehu water is installed the insurance companies will probably lower his premiums for him. In addition, the new loan will enable him to give his tenants, besides their other comforts, proper drainage and a ’-roper water suppl” conveniences that I have no doubt they will appreciate.
