WAITOTARA CRICKET CLUB CONCERT.

The first annual concert of the Waitotara Cricket Club was held in the Waitotara Public Hall last evening, a large audience being present. A capital programme had been arranged by Mrs J. Laird, which was thoroughly enjoyed. A party of .Wanganui amateurs, namely, Mr and Mrs L. Craig, Misses Bringezu, McFadzen, Woon, and Messrs Armstrong, A. Hogg, J. B. Reid, and H. Y. Duigan were motored out in Messrs Chavanues’ and Russell and King's cars and were responsible for- the enjoyment of the. evening. Musical solos and duets were given hy Misses Bringezu and McPadzeu, and Mr L. Craig, and‘songs by Misses McFadzen Woon, Messrs Craig, J. B. Reid, ai}d H. V. Duigan A whilst recitations were given by Messrs A. Hogg, Graham Armstrong, and J. B. Reid. Mr E. L. Burgess proved a very up-to-date chairman, and at the conclusion of the concert thanked the performers in a neat speech for their kind assistance. A very enjoyable dance was held after the concert, the supper being provided by the ladies.
