COLD AT 1000 ft. LEVEL. (Per United Press Association.) THAMES, April 26. ' An important development was reported to-day from the deep levels, viz., the intersection of a vein showing colours of coarse gold. This was at the 1000 ft level where work has. just commenced. This effectually disproves the theory advanced by some geologists that the 1000 ft level was in barren strata.
