AT DUNEDIN. Housebreaking and Theft. (Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, April 26. At the Supreme Court, Anthony R. Anderson, aged 15 and Reginald Lawson, aged 22, on 15 joint charges of housebreaking and 'also several separate , charges, were each sentenced to two years’ hard labour, and both wore declared to bo habitual criminals. Henry Joseph Hind, aged 15|, for housebreaking and on several charges of attempted stealing from the person, was ordered to be brought up for sentence when called on, the agent of the' Prisoners’ Aid Society undertaking to take care of the lad. James Henry Garlick Wilson, aged 20, and Robert Brittain Shepherd, aged 20, for stealing four postal money orders for sums of .£7l odd. This was a case in which both the accused came from Australia, and voluntarily surrendered. The Judge said that probation was impossible, on account of the joint convictions for theft six years ago. The accused were ordered to come up for sentence when called upon, but they are not to be called upon so long as each pays £1 per fortnight till £77 is paid, this including the five guineas cost of prosecution. Richard Chin did not answer to his bail and sentence was deferred. 5
