PERSONAL.

Mr Cecil J. Wray returned to Waiigan li from the Old Country yesterday. A very pleasant little function took plac ■ down at the local locomotive sheds ’ast evening, when Mr K. L. Crockett, a p ominent member of the locomotive staff, was presented with a very nice Gladstone bag by one of his fellow workmates on behalf of the cleaning staff, as showing a mark of the esteem in which he is held by them, on his being transferred to Wellington. After Mr Crockett had suitably replied, he was accorded three hearty cheers. He left for his new post by to-day’s mail train.
