The Canterbury Steam Shipping Company’s steamer Breeze arrived at Lyttelton on Tuesday night with a cargo of timber from Greymouth. After dischargy ing, the Breeze will go into dock for survey and overhaul and afterwards go to Osmarn and Timarn to load for Wcl- • Irngton. Napier, and Gisborne. The first shipment of Newcastle coal brought to New Zealand since the strike arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday night in the Union Company’s collier‘Kurow. The next Federal-Holder-JSnirc liner to sail from Liverpool for New Zealand porta;, via Sydney, will he the Susses, to sail on Saturday next. The Moaowai arrived at Napier from Auckland at 7 o'clock this morning, having been unable to pick up the Gisborne etearoer. - She was compelled to seek shel- ■ ter near Tfeararoa, and experienced a very tempestuous' voyage down the coast.
