DALGETY AND CO.'S STOCK REPORT. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report.-— On Tuesday, 21st inst., we held our Spring Horse Fair at Waverley, when we yarded eighty horses. The wet weather interfered with some entries coming forward. Competition was brisk for unbroken sorts, the bulk of this class selling under the -hammer. Broken classes were dull of sale, high reserves hampering business. At Wanganui, on 22nd inst., we had a small yarding of sheep and cattle. A clearance was made at ruling rates. At Waverley, on 24th inst., we had a small yarding of sheep and a good yarding of cattle. The attendance" was good. Competition was brisk right through, and practically a total clearance was made under the hammer. The demand for cattle especially was keen, prices according to quality showing an increase on irecent rates. QUOTATIONS HORSE FAIR. Unbroken—Three year draughts £14 ss. to £17 10s. ; two-year draughts £9 to £10 10s ; two and three year £6 to £10 ; li^ht sorts £l 10s. to £5 15s. Broken— Light draughts .£l4 ss. to £16 ; medium harness £7 l()s. to £11 ; hacks £4 to £7; weeds, etc. £2 to £3 10s. Wanganui. — Fat ewes 12s 6d : medium mixed hoggets 11s 3d; small mixed bogjrets 11s 3d. ; small mixed hogrets !?s. ; fresh conditioned store cows £3 ; sma'l springing heifers £3 to £3 12s 6d; mixed weaners 20s 6d. Waverlev — Medium mixed hoggets 11s Gd, Lincoln rams 17s, Lincoln ram hoggets 18s 3d. 4-year store bullocks £5 10s 6d, 3-year store bullocks £4 11s to £4 17s 6d. steers (poor condition) £2. 195, forward empty heifers £3 11s 6d, store cows £2 5s to £2 10s. good spring-ing heifers £o 12s, others £3, £3 15s £4 Is, to £4 Bs, young springing cows £5 12s 6d. backward cows £3 2s to £3 10s, cow and r*lf £4 2s 6d ; hack £7 ss; spring cart £4 10s.
