CORRESPONDENCE.

Aramoho Borough Proposals. TO THB BDITOB. Sir, — Are not the ratepayers of Aramoho who. desire to have a borough of their own capable of forming a deputation from amongst themselves, without the assistance of outsiders, as was the case the other day when the Hon. Fowlds was interviewed. Neither Messrs. Neilson or Allen" are on the ratepayers' roll for Aramoho, which accompanies the petitions now in circulation, and why these two gentlemen are taking such a fatherly interest in our affairs is a speculation. Rumour says they are making all sorts of glowing promises to induce ratepayers to sign their petition, amongst them being a new traffic bridge. Possibly these gentlemen have intentions of becoming burgesses of the new borough with a view to civic honours, as I notice at the last municipal election in their own district their names figured conspicuously near the bottom of the poll. In the event of a borough being formed, I think we ratepayers of Aramoho will be able to find suitable representatives amongst ourselves,' capable of administering our own affairs, without taking practically the rejects of Wanganui East.— l am, etc.. RESIDENT RATEPAYER. The Taihape Chamber of Commerce banquet, to be held on Tuesday evening' next, will be attended by the Acting-Premier, and probably other Ministers. Owing to the date not being found convenient, the conference fixed for to-day, between the Borough and Wanganui County Councils, re river bank protection at Taylorville, was not held. It has been arranged that it will be held in a few days' time, the date to be fixed later on. Blood poison resulting from small wounds is becoming more prevalent. Fven co Blight an injury as the scratch of n pin will sometimes cause blood poisoning. The Fafe way is to apply Chamberlain' 6 Pain Bairn aa soon as the injury has Leer; receiver!. That liniment prevents all danger of blood poisoning and <anses the injury to heal in about one-tiiird the itwie required by the usual treatment. For salr by all chemists and storekeepers.
