A deputation to the Capetown Government with reference to the action of +he Australian tariff upon Cape manufactu -od dynamite said that this was an illustration of the case against preference. Australia's action was unfriendly and outrageous, for it meant that, while taking all the advantages of the Cape's preference, it ga^e absolutely nothing in return.
