IN Pursuance and exercise of tbA powers conferred, upon it by the "Public \ Works Act, 1908." and the "Motor Regulation Act, 1908/' and Amendments, and all other Acte and powers whatsoever in it in this behalf enabling, the Council of 1 the County of Patea (hereafter called "the Council") doth hereby make and ordain (by special order) the bye-law following to come into force on the FIRST DAY of AUGUST, 1909— Bye-Law — No person or persons shall from and. after the first day of August, 1909, engage, use, or drive, or cause to be engaged, used, employed, or driven, any motor-car on the road from the junction of Mangawhio and Omata roade to Ngamatapouri, and known as the Waitotara Valley Road. A motor-car for the purpose of this bye-law is hereby defined as any vehicle propelled by mechanical power, whether guch vehicle ia used alone or' in order to prppel or draw one or more vehicles. Any person committing a breach of tho above bye-law shall bo deemed guilty of an offence, and 6hall be liable upon conviction- to a jtrmalty not exceeding TEN POUNDS.
