BILLIARDS.
Playing a well-known local amateur at the Gresham Rooms last night, two games of 200 up, Joe Smith put up the fine breaks of 193 and 225 on the standard table. Both breaks were remarkable for their brilliancy and quickness, being good solid all-round billiards.
, We understand that an effort is being made to match Joe Smith against a Local amateur in a 1000-up game, to take place some time next week.
