SCHOOL COMMITTEE'S CONCERT.

A final reminder is given of the concert to be held in St. Paul's Hall to-night in aid of the, funds of the School Committee. A, capital programme has been arranged, W& it is hoped that there will be a large attendance.

■Mr Gordon Mcßeth, who has /recently returned from the Royal Conset+atorium n Leipzig, has consented to give a short pianoforte recital in St. Paul's Hall on Iphursday evening next. Those who have fykd the pleasure of hearing Mr Mcßeth since his return speak in the highest terms cj( his playing, and there should be a crowded house to greet the gifted musician an his first public appearance here.

It is understood that the Wanganui Efl*t, Parliamentary Union promises to be a greater success than its most sanguine supporters anticipated. A Ministry composed of five well-known residents has been formed, and an. excellent' programme will be brpught down on Monday week.
