NOMINATIONS FOR WINTER MEET-
ISTO CLOSE 'TO-NICHT.
Owners and trainers are given a final reminder that nominations for the winter meeting of the Wanganui Jockey Club close this evening, when a first forfeit of 1 Boy. has also to be made for the Jackson Stakes, of 1910.
Wellington bookmakers have decided to institute a Tattersall's Club in Wellington, and have secured commodious premises. One leading bookmaker, in reply to a question, said that no betting would itake place at the club; "It was not formed for' that ' purpose. A "regular "settling" 'day would, be. decided upon, as in SydJSd^ sand. Melbourne.
