' AUCKLAND, 19. ' At Arbitration Court, in the matter ot tho shipmasters' and eeamen's dispute, it was stated that an agreement had been arrived at on all points, excepting the wages paid to intercolonial Bailors, and the wages and overtime payable in the Devohwott Ferry Company's service. There wete. kisot'vo points of law to be argued, cne being how far an. award could be nutde to *pplj to vtsselß owned in New Zealand, but registered in Australia, the other being how far an award could be made to ajiply to a master who is part owner, out who rejeived a wage. Ihe case was adjourned till Wednesday. .' Be the" hotel and restaurant employees' dispute, Judge Sim, addressing Mr Lang, Who had declined to submit the evidence to the Conciliation Commissioners, said that if they did not fairly and honestly comply with the proidsiocs of the law, taey could not *>c entitled to its benefits. ThOT did not give the Conciliation Council a chance to settle the dispute. The question was whether Ihe case should not be sent- back to the Council.
Mr Lang replied that, if this were done, the case would onJv . ome back to the Court.
