NEW PLYMOUTH, Friday. . Arrived— Barawa (6 a.m.), from Onehunga, connecting with express. * PICTON, Friday. Sailed— Kapiti (12.10 j?.m.), for Wanganui. WESTPORT, Thursday. > Arrived— Moa (10.40 p.m.), from Wanganui.

The Rob Ro^ goes to Havelock this evening to load timber for the south, and thY Huia, \i hich returned from Wellington this morning 1 , leaves for there again this evening. The pcow Whangaroa, which makes the .fifth vessel on the Tasman Sea, en route from Australian ports to Wanganui — her 'name was inadverteitly omitted from the list published last night — arrived off the Heads last night. The Thistle went out to bring her in, and made fast to the scow, but the elements prevented her entering the port and the lighter returned alone. The Whangaroa brings hardwood from Sydney, and left there on tbe 17th of March, thus making a fairly good passage over. The Kapiti and Sttfrmbird are due from Wellington to-morrow, the former via Picton, which port* she left at mid-day today. Both vessels return to Wellington at night. The Storm is expected back here again about Tuesday next, from the usual southern ports. Tbe liimu returned to Onehunga last night, via ports. She leaves again on Tuesday, and is due here on Thursday. The steamer Clan Ogilvy, chartered by Mr G. H. Scales to load wool for London, is due at Timaru from Edithburg (W.A.) oh the 13th inst., and at Wellington about the 18th. The Tainui was to have left i,ondon yesterday for Wellington, via Capetown and Hobart, and is due at Wellington about May 18th. The Maitai, fruit laden, reached Wellington on Wednesday evening from the Islands. The Tyser steamer Indraghiri left London last Tuesday for Wellington, via Australia and Auckland. The Indralema, from London, reached Auckland on Wednesday, and is due at Wellington about the end of next week. The Elsa, loaded with between two and three million feet of Oregon pine, from Portland, Oregon, reached Dunedin on Wednesday. After putting out 600,000 ft there, she proceeds to Lyttelton, Napier, and Auckland with the remainder.
