THE DEVIL IN LEVIN.
From the Other bide, ; The correspondence regarding "The Devil J in Levin" continues in the local paper, he correspondent who takes up the cudrels on behalf of the llev. Mr Braddoi-k, — "It is these men we want in our ichools to help to put the young on the ight road. A loving father, I am sure, »ould rather see his children learning the iplit than the wrong, and would never call such a lecture a "disgraceful- affair. To illustrate clearly and simpiy this lesson, he bound a little boy with cotton. The Lttlc chap may have been a. little shy, or ■yen frightened, but. was that the speaker's bject, to frighten the children? No, simily to make it clear to the young minds j Vhat grip Satan has when once he gets [ lis cords around one. There are a good nany adults, too, that want this fact imiressed on their minds. ... I would suggest that some of the residents of Levin write to the Education Board to as-k the •everend visitor to give a series of leccures. . . . When the rev. gentleman askrd I t the children would like to hear him igain, there was 'Yes, sir,' 'Yes, sir,' all nrer the room, and every hand went into ;he air."
