(Per United Press Association). CHRISTCHURCH, April 1. Major Hobday has received a telegram from, the President of the Universal Service League, Wellington, asking him to take steps to call a public meeting in Christchurch with a view of impressing the necessity of universal service on tlie Government. Major Hobday states a meeting will be called at the earliest opportunity after Easter to consider defence orders generally.
