A BIG SCHEME.

Communication between Sydney ana its Suburbs Harbour Subways Recommended Press Association.— Telegraph.— Conyright. SYDNEY, March 29. The Royal Commission's report on communication between. Sydney and North bjrdncy favours the construction of subways on tho grounds^ that the fairway of the harbour would not be obstructed as it would bo by the erection of a bridge, and the capital cost is less than that of a bridge. The report also recommends a subway for railway traffic with the city terminus in Moore Street, costing ,£753,000, a second for tramways to cost .£460,000, and a third for vehicular traffic to cast .£502,00. The report points out that eubways can be constructed separately, whereas a whole bridge for all kinds of traffic would have to be completed before any of tho respective services would be available.
