ADDINGTON LIVE STOCK SALES.

CHEJSTCtIUIICH, November 25. At the Aldington live stock market today there* were fairly large entries of Btock and a good attendance. Fat cattle were rather firmer, «tore sheep also showed a rise, an§_ fat lambs were considerably better in consequence of a small entry. Fat sheep sold at about last week's rates. Pigs . sold .well. Store and dairy cattle a somewhat , smaller entry than the previous week. The entry of sheep was made i*p ; principally of 1 hoggets in the wool, forward shorn wethers, shorn twotootbfi, and the balance owes and lambs. There was a firmer tone J in the market consequent upon, the recent . shower of Tain, and the rise in. the price of wool, though '"'prices showed little change from the previous week. The demand for ewes and lambs was not quite 'so keen as for dry sheep, the ewes being mostly aged. Small lots of ewe hoggets in the wool made 17s &&, 'wether hoggets in the wool 14e o£d, shorn 2-th ewes of .medium quality to 42b 7d,' shorn 2-th wethcre to 10s lud, Aged ewes in the wool with lambs 9s to 13s 5d (all counted), .shorn 4-th ewes 15s 6d, forward shorn wethers 13s to 14s There' was a much smaller en,try of fat lambs than last week, and they were practically all of prime quality. The butchers outbid the , expert buyers, and a sharp rise in values took place, only one lot-yaellißg 1 as low as 13s Id, and'all ethers from 15s to 19s?6d. The yarding <jf fat sheep was not so large as last week, .and included some gqod lines of ■wethers and ewes and shorn hoggets. The Bale opened at last week's rates, and the, operators, export buyers who were .able: to get a few suitable dines, kept the market firm throughout. The range of prices •was: — Wethers in^ the wool 17e 9d to 24s 6d, priijplr shoYir 'wethers, lite '-to 20s, others 13s 6d l to 15s 6d, woolly ewes 14s to 22s 6d, prime shorn ewes 13s 6d to 15s 2d, others 10s 6d to 13s, shorn merino wethers 13s 2d to 13,8 7d., : The supply *of* beef consisted of 286 head, and included, a large proportion of good quality. At the opening of the sale., the demand was slack, and a number of pens were passed.
