Wellington Supreme Court

(P«r United Press Association). WELL%TGTON, November 19. The criminal sessions of the Supreme Court commenced to-day. Mr Justice Coo■per, in his charge to the grand jury, mentioned that there were 19 cases against 22 prisoners. He thought he might fairly congratulate the district upon the fact $hat, for thefirst time during eight years he had been presiding at the Court, there were no offences against women or girls. At the Supreme Court, Frank Christian Olsen, charged with theft of JB4O from a dwelling, was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment. Robt. Shand, for forgery and uttering, received three years' imprisonment.
