MELBOURNE, October 3. The weather was favourable for the road race, which resulted : Donohue (New South Wales 1, Rennie (Victoria) 2, Sargent (Victoria) 3. There were 304 competitors. There were several accidents, wut none of a very serious character. The Australasian road championship was won by Chappell (Victoria), who started scratch and occupied 7 hours 46 minutes 27 seconds.
