At a special meetiag of- the shareholders of the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative ■Association of Canterbury Ltd., held today, it was decided to amend the articles of Association so as to give the Board power to create an issue of preferential shares.

The Chairman said it was suggested that interest at the rate of 6 per cent, should be guaranteed to holders of preferential shares. The proposal for increasing capital was not to make up any deficiencies through losses or diminution of business.
