Cape Portland reports that &• large unknown barque struck a reef off Fost«r's Island at 9 o'clock this morning and sank with all hands. The colour of the vessel was black with a white line. Boats were lowered from the barque biit there was apparently no time to do anything. Later reports state that a small piece of sail has been visible from the time when the disaster "occurred. Signals to Foster's Island were not replied to, and no boats are visible there.
