WELLINGTON WOOL, SKIN, HIDES, AND TALLOW SALES.

LEVIN AND COS REPORT. We held our fortnightly sale to-day, offering 35 bales wool, 2000 skins, 500 hides, and a quantity of tallow and horse hair. Wool. — There was strong" competition at last sale prices. We quote :—Medium crossbred 4d. to sid., inferior 2d and 4d, lambs wool 4d and sd, pieces and locks Id to 3id, good crutchings 3jd to 33d. medium do. 2i{d to 3}d, Skins. — No change to record. — We quote : — Fine crossbreds 5d to Gd, crossbred 4d to sd, dead skins 2d to 3^d, dead hoggets 2d to 3isd, dry pelts Id to 2- id, green skins 2s 6d to 4s 9d, lamb skins sd. Tallow. — Firm. Parcels in shipping order £23, tins £18 to £21 10s, rough fat £10 to £13. Horsehair. — Is to Is 3d per lb. Horns. — 5s to 17s 6d per 100. Cowtails. — Is 4d to Is 8d per dozen. Hides.— We again brought forward a large catalogue of hides, which were sold at last quotation. We quote : — Ox hideb heavy Cd to -£gd, do. medium 5Jd to sid, do 'light 4d'tb 4 7-Bd, cow hides 4d to 4id, cut and slippy hides 2d to 3id, stag hides 2id to 3d, bull hides 2d to 3d, calf best 4d to 7|d, calf cut and slippy 2d to 3d.
