As the recent social held in the Drill Hall in aid of the St. Joseph's Convent bazaar fund did not prove to be the financial success anticipated, the members of St. Mary's Club kindly offered the bazaar committee the use of their club rooms for the purpose of holding a similar function. This offer was accepted by tbe committee^ and a social , will be held there on Wednesday, August 12th. The arrangements are in the hands of the club's executive, while the ladies will provide the supper. As the popularity of these rooms for dancing purposes is so well known, it is confidently anticipated that there will be a large attendance on Wednesday, 12th August. The price of admission is only the nominal one of 2s 6d. Tickets for same can be obtained from the ladies' committee, and from the club's executive.
A notice appears in another column calling a meeting of ratepayers in the Gonville Town. District on Tuesday, 4th August, convened by H. Wilson and 70 others for the purpose of considering the action of the Gonville Town Board in promoting the Tramway Bill and other matters.
