The Premier says the .Government has Enough To Do

MELBOURNE, May 1.

In -the House, Mr Webster asked whether, in view of the inadequate, biassed and unreliable reports and comments tn th* Press on the doings of Parliament, the Government would consider the advisability of establishig a Commonwealth newspaper. Mr Deakin replied that he was unaware of any universal change in the attitude of the Press. He thought the Government was engaged in sufficient intricate subjects at present,* without tackling a newspaper.
