More Serious than Reported

I Press Association.— Telegraph — Copyright. ' Received April 30, 9.29 a.m. PERTH, April 30. The disaster to the; gearling fleet at Le-grange-Bay is more serious than anticipated. The storm was" sudden and very severe. It also did considerable damage ashore, but the full extent of the disaster is not yet known. The latest news states that two schooners and 15 luggers were either smashed up or sunk. Two whites named McLachlan and Gaskin, and about 50 coloured men were drowned. . * i The damage is estimated at .£IOOO altogether, 200 boats, with crews aggregating 2000, being affected. Many boats are still missing, but may be sheltered along the coast. Arrangements are being made to search for the survivors.
