Mr Deakin has decided to retain office till the tariff is finished, or perhaps till the conclusion of the session. SYDNEY, April 14. The Herald's Melbourne correspondent reports that Mr Deakin yielded to the pressure of his colleagues in retaining office. When the House meets on Wednesday, a postponement of the motion for a Royal Commission on the Post Office will be asked for until the tariff is passed. If that is not postponed, Mr Deakin will resign.
