Received April 10, 10.20 a.m. LONDON, April 9. The Tyser Company's steamer Star of Japan, en route to Australia and New Zealand ports, is reported to be badly stranded on a reef in St. Cyprias Bay. The crew are safe. . Eighty guineas premium has been paid to re-insure the vessel. It is estimated 'that a quarter of a million sterling is at stake. SYDNEY, April 9. The Star of Japan was bringing a heavy cargo to Australia and New j Zealand ports. Advices received by the Underwriters' Association state that the scene of the disaster was at Dakar, Cape de Verde.
