THE SALE OF THE . SEASON.
Footwear for nothing (almost) was the remark of a visitor after a careful inspection of the quality of the goods on offer at- Crichton and Newmans sale of boots and shoes. The fashionable manufacturers would not feel in the least flattered it they could note the remarkably cheap prices their highly extolled products are ticketed at during this sale. But the object of the sale is to reduce the stock, and that aim, is 'being rapidly accomplished. The firm's request to the public is a simple one, viz., that when passing along Ridgway Street they will inspect the windows at No. 92, and if time permits, step inside. The attractive , footwear speaks for itaelf.

'land enterprising firm have compiled a menu which should, because of its variety, suit all tastes. Everyone should- keep a stock of preserved goods in the house in case it is not convenient to cook.
