THE SOUTH AUSTRALIAN PREMIER
Plain Talk to John Bull
Press Association.— Telegraph.— Copyright. Received April 8, 8.7 a.m. LONDON, April 7.
Premier Price, of South Australia, speaking at Browning House, Walworth, on a passage from the Song of Solomon, said that Englishmen appeared only to value Australia to the extent of getting something' cheap, and had no thought of anything except what was commercial. Of sentiment there was very little in England, and it would be easier to get money to help Germany fight England than to give a loan to Australia for raising wheat to feed England's millions. When he saw how Germany handled her youth, he felt there would be a bad time for England unless she got better technical education and better equipment in her schools. He recommended that all youths should be trained in shooting, as in Australia.
