The Foundations Disturbed.
LONDON, April 6.
The houses collapsed without warning. There were 36 inmates. • Eight bodies have been recovered. 21 were rescued alive. Hundreds of police and firemen made tremendous exertions to extricate the others.
The accident was due to the disturbance of the foundations by the re-building of an adjoining warehouse.
