HOKITIKA, April 3. The Land Board election resulted: — G. Mallinßon (retiring member) 234, J. Byall 204, J. Ward 75, W. Morgan 32. A large number of papers w^re returned unsigned and declared informal, but would not have affected the result of the polling. The trustees of the Hokitika Savings Bank donated J5300 to the Westland HosEital, to assist in the erection of a second rick wing, an operating room, and executive quarters.
