DUNEDIN HARBOUR BOARD.

(Per United Press Association). DUNEDIN, April 2.

' At a meeting of the Harbour Board today the Works Committee reported that it estimated the revenue for the year at .£75,000, to which had to be added a credit balance of ,£5,929 at January Ist, 1908, making a total of ,£80,929. The estimated expenditure was ,£79,000, leaving a credit balance of ,£2,209. The estimated cost of dredging was i>20,000.

In moving the adoption of the report, Mr Bullock said it was proposed to widen the Rattray Street Wharf at a cost of J>3,700. It was considered necessary to provide additional berthagc for steamers. Thel cost of dredging was estimated at ,£20,000.

The report wae adopted. The Finance Committee recommended that as it was unlikely that the whole of the works contemplated could be finished during the present financial year, debentures to the amount of j£20,000 be issued to meet the anticipated expenditure to December 30th. This was agreed to.
