SCHOOLGIRLS' CHMAPIONSHIP.
The schoolgirls's championships were decided in the Wanganui Baths yesterday ' afternoon. The following ofli'cialß con- ] trolled the competitions: — Starter, Rev. -^ Jacob; judges, Messrs Saynor Griffiths and M. Hogan, junr. ; timekeepers, Messrs W. R. Tuck and H. M. Payne. The following are the results of the championship distances ; — 25 Yards.— A. Reed (Queen's Park School) 1, J. Gordon (Girls' College 2, O. Davey (Queen's Park School) 3. Time, 19sec. •50 Yards.— A. Reed 1, J. Gordon 2, O. Davey 3. — ■ Time, 45sec. 75 Yards.— A. Reed 1, J. Gordon 2, O. Davey 3. Time, lmin 13sec. 100 Yards. — A. Reed 1, J. Gordon 2, 0. Davey 3. Time, lmin 49sec. Miss A. Reed (Queen's Park School), with 20 points, receives the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association's gold medal. Miss J. Gordon (Girl's College), 12 points,- receives the New Zealand Amateur Swimming Association's silver medal.
