Tasmanian Apple Fleet for Europe.
At a fruitgrowers' meetirfg at Hobart it was decided to export to England, and Germany 421,000 cases of apples, par 23 "steamers, commencing in the midsle of February. Five shipments will be sent to Hamburg and Bremen. The largest shipment will be 80,000 cases, and it is to be in Durham at the end of March.
The Federal Government officers have notified the growers that this season the Commerce Act will be stringently enforced. The bushel measure of cases will be enforced, and wrong descriptions 1 as to quantity and qanlity will mean penalties and confiscations. The growers are iudignadt. "
