TIMARU, February 19. Mr Hutchison, S.M.y delivered judgment at Waimate to-day in a case in which two bookmakers were charged vvitli having|offered to bet at the- Morven sports on TDecember 16. The Magistrate considered the offence proved, and fined defendants £1 each. The cases were the first of the kind brought under the new Gaming Laws.
