Mysterious Shooting Affair.

AUCKLAND, February 3.

An extraordinary shooting case is reported from Lautoka, Fiji, where a native girl named Mary, employed as a nurse by Mrs Mecham, was found dead in her bedroom, with a bullet wound through her heart. Mrs Mecham heard a report from her bedroom, and going to inquire the reason, found the girl dead, wi£h two Indian servants standing by. They said that, hearing a shot, they had rushed there from the kitchen. It is thought that the girl must have been handling the revolver when it exploded.
