CHRIST"IttJRCH, FeVn-iarv-.l At the fo«r£L of the vurrent seu?oii's wool sales, to-morrow, .700 baled will b? offered. . :i ■ t Since the extrvxe heat expi'i-Mijcd last Wednesday, when! the themom-.ler Stood at 95 in the shade, there has Ji^een a pleasant change in teh. weather, cool days and nights taking ths- place of the former almost unbearable heat. The showers which fell towards the~"end of last" week have had a beneficial effect on. gardens and green crops, whjich^Jiave revived considerably during the fast few days. The rainfall, however, has not been nearly sufficient for the rape and turnip crops, winch require 24 hours' steady ram. Reports from the country districts show that the grain crops are all threshing out unexpectedly well, heavy yields being reported from all parts of the province, while the quality of the grain is uniformly good, and, unless there is a great change in the weather conditions during the next three weeks, the average quality should be equal, if not superior to, that of recent years. The grain is coming 1 on the market in limited quantities, but holders show no disposition to accept prices below 4s 2d to 4s 4d for wheat and 2s Id to 2s 4d for oats, both at country stations, sacks extra. *
