Professor Lowell, of Arizona, telegraphs that observations give two of Saturn's rings the appearance of being about to fall upon the planet. Professor Salisbee •uggesta that two moons are forming. r The Director of Mi*, local Observatory supplies 'is with the following in reference to the above : — The beadbed appearance if the rings of Saturn, which are now turned edgewise to the earth, has been noted at this station and will be found recorded in the observatory diary as follows: — "October 29th, Saturn's ring just glimpsed in the ansae on both sides of the planet. There is a beaded appearance."]
