Messrs A. C. Lonard and Co., of Ridgway otreet, the well known importers of English specialities, announce on page 2 in a large replace advt, the arrival per s.s. Rimutaka of their summer shipment of the biscuits, cocoa and Christmas plum puwaings manufacturered by' the well known firm of Peek Frean and Co., Ltd., London. Colonial biscuits are good, very good, but they cannot approach the high standard of the biscuits made by a firm like Measrs Peek Frean and Co., Ltd., who have a world wide reputation, and who have made biscuits under the most favourable conditions for over 50 years. It is a great thing to know when you buy -aglish biscuits, that you are buying them fresh. Messrs Lennard and Co's clients now know how frequently all their shipments arrive, and the consequent freshness, and crispness of all biscuits sold by them.
