Strap Hangers on Sufferance.

AUCKLAND, October 9.

Tho Tramway Union decided to observe the new bye-law, permitting straphangers, under protest pending an appeal to the Supremo Court. They ask the City Council and Tram Company to see that each car is legibly inscribed with the number of passengers it is entiled to carry as the men will not be responsible for any delay caused by counting the excess of passengers. The Union strongly urge the Government to pass the Tramways Amendment Bill.
