FATHER HAY'S.

A SUCCESSFUL APPEAL TO THE POPE.

There is a great deal of talk, says the Nottingham Daily Express in Catholic eirclca in the Midlands over the successful appeal to Rome against a decision of Bishop Brindle. Father Hays, rector of Market Easen, went to New Zealand on leave of absence. Whilst there he was taken ill, and applied to his Lordship for an extension of leave. No reply was received, and when he returned to England he found another clergyman in possession of the rectory. Father Hays appealed direct to Rome, and has been reinstated at the rectory.
