THE CHURCHES.

The Castlecliff residents are reminded that the new Presbyterian Church will be opened for Divine worship to-morrow (Sunday), January 6th. The parents are urged to send their children to the Sun* day School at 2.30. The Eev. B. M. Ryburn, M.A., will conduct the opening service at 7 p.m. A very earnest and cordial invitation is given to all. At the Baptist Church to-morrow the Eev. Arthur Dewdney will preach appropriate New Year sermons. In the morning the subject will be "The Unshaken and Unshakable Kingdom," and in the evening "First Things First, or the Story of a Young Man's Great Temptation." "Faith or Credulity— Which ?" An address on the above subject will be delivered at the Christadelphian service to be held in the Druids' Hall, Bell Street, at 7 o'clock to-morrow evening. All welcome. No collection. The Rev. E. Drake will preach twice to-morrow at Dublin Street Primitive Methodist Church, and will conduct the monthly afternoon service at Sedgebrook. The meetings all day to-morrow at the Salvation Army Hall will be conducted by Adjutant Dickens. At night the Adjutant will speak upon the " Two Paths." A hearty welcome is extended to all. The lecture to be delivered under the auspices of the Christadelphians at Sheriff's Studio, Ridgway Street, to-mor-row evening, ie of great importance to all believers in the Bible, as well as those who profees themselves acquainted with scientific knowledge, as scientific teaching upon this particular subject will be examined. The subject is entitled "The Resurrection of Christ." Scientific objections examined in the light of historical fact, and found to be wanting.
