Train Accident.

NEW PLYMOUTH, December 17. The second express from Wellington to New Plymouth ran into a trap near Normanby, driven by an elderly man, William Thompson, farmer. The horse was disembowelled, the trap smashed, and Thompson was thrown clear on to his head. The engine driver pulled up promptly. The injured man was taken to Normanby. Little hope is entertained of his recovering. The train was further delayed by a mishap near Inglewood, and did not reach town till 11.30.
