Ringleader's Sentence Reduced.

Press Association.— Telegraph.— Copyright. Received December 18, 9.50 p.m. LONDON, December 18. The Admiralty has reduced the sentence on Stoker Moody, the ringleader in the Portsmouth riot, to three years, and directed that the "on the knee" order be only used -in future for military purposes. The Admiralty relieved Commodore Stopford of his command for failing to display firmness and resource, and similarly punished Commanders Drury-Lowe and Mitchell for neglecting their duties.
